NIJAC is inviting applications for the office of Employment Judge for Industrial Tribunals and Fair Employment Tribunal Northern Ireland.
It is intended to make one appointment and to maintain a reserve list for 12 months from the anticipated date of appointment (Monday 1st December 2025), as up to three additional vacancies may arise during this period. Full-time and flexible working arrangements (such as part-time or block working) will be considered from 12 months after the date of appointment.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for appointment as an Employment Judge of the Industrial Tribunal and Fair Employment Tribunal, a person must, by the anticipated date of appointment be:
i.) be a member of the Bar of Northern Ireland or solicitor of the Court of Judicature of Northern Ireland of at least seven years’ standing; or
ii.) have a seven year general qualification within the meaning of section 71 of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990; or
iii.) be an advocate or solicitor admitted in Scotland of at least seven years’ standing.
Salary: £134,105 per annum (under review). This post is pensionable
