This webinar will explain what artificial intelligence is in a way tailored to solicitors.
Currently there are many misconceptions about A.I. and what it can do. This session will dispel the myths that enshroud A.I. and clarify what solicitors can expect from it now and in the future. The profession will have already heard about the uses and abuses of A.I., and products and tools like ChatGPT.
Attendees will also hear how other members of the profession are harnessing A.I. within their practices and how A.I. is transforming the way we work.
Additionally, attendees will be informed of the risks that A.I. poses both in terms of its misapplications within firms as well as its use by cybercriminals.
Attendees will come away from this session with an understanding of:
- what Artificial Intelligence is and what it is not.
- the distinction between generative and non-generative A.I.
- the basic terminology associated with A.I. – e.g., neural network.
- what A.I. tools and products are currently available.
- how solicitors across the world are using A.I. but with most of the focus on the UK.
- how A.I. is currently increasing efficiencies and cutting costs.
- how A.I. might prospectively increase efficiencies and cut costs.
- how A.I. has been misused by solicitors – e.g., false citations generated and data protection concerns.
- how A.I. has been misused by cybercriminals – e.g., voice cloning etc.
- best practice when it comes to utilising A.I.
- the ethical and professional risks to using A.I.
