James Ballentine & Son Solicitors is seeking an experienced and motivated family and matrimonial solicitor to join its established legal practice in Ballymena.
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of family and matrimonial matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients while delivering a professional, compassionate and client-focused service.
This is a full-time office-based position, offering an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive and established practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing a varied caseload of family and matrimonial matters from instruction through to resolution.
• Advising clients on separation, divorce, matrimonial finances and related issues.
• Handling matters relating to children, including residence, contact and parental responsibility.
• Preparing legal correspondence, pleadings, statements and other necessary documentation.
• Representing clients in negotiations, hearings and court proceedings where appropriate.
• Liaising effectively with clients, counsel, experts and other professionals.
• Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring files are managed efficiently.
• Meeting relevant deadlines and maintaining high professional standards.
Requirements
• Qualified Solicitor preferably with 3+ years PQE although candidates with relevant experience at other levels will be considered.
• Practical experience in Family / Matrimonial Law.
• Ability to manage files independently.
• Strong client care and communication skills.
