The Law Society of Northern Ireland is proud to have been the main sponsor of a recent charity golf event at Cairndhu Golf Club in support of the White Ribbon Organisation, reaffirming our commitment to ending violence against women and girls across the region.

The President of the Law Society, Colin Mitchell, attended the event alongside members of the legal profession, stakeholders, and campaigners, united in a shared goal: to challenge attitudes and change behaviours that perpetuate violence against women and girls.

Speaking at the event, the President said:

“We must be clear—violence against women and girls is not a distant issue; it is a reality that impacts our society, including within our own profession. All violence, abuse and threats are unacceptable."

This event is just one part of a broader commitment the Law Society has to promote the crucial role solicitors play in combating violence against women and girls in Northern Ireland. Through various initiatives and collaborative efforts, we aim to make a meaningful impact in our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this essential mission.

White Ribbon is a global movement to end male violence against women. You can show support and play your part by making donations and pledging to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women and girls.
