Passing of James T Johnston (Jim), solicitor
It is with deep regret that the Law Society of Northern Ireland notifies members of the passing of James T Johnston (Jim) who died peacefully on 22 August 2025 at University Hospital Waterford surrounded by his loving family following a short illness.
Beloved husband of Teresa, much loved father of Jim, Therese and Colette and devoted Papa to Ellen, Sophie, Jack, Emma, Aimee, Daniel and Louie and father in law to Paula. A cherished brother, uncle and friend to many who will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.
Jim will be reposing at his late residence from Monday 25th August. Visitors most welcome on Monday and Tuesday between 4pm and 8pm.
Requiem mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 27th August at 11am at St Brigid’s Church Derryvolgie Avenue, Belfast followed by committal at St Joseph’s Church, Hannahstown.
