Event to mark 25 years of the Human Rights Act in Northern Ireland

Join us as we mark 25 years since the incorporation of the Human Rights Act in Northern Ireland. 

To reflect on its impact and continuing importance, the Law Society, in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, are hosting an event featuring: 

• Opening remarks from Colin Mitchell, Law Society President
• Keynote address from Alyson Kilpatrick, Chief Commissioner of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission
• Academic perspective from Dr Conall Mallory, Co-Director of QUB’s Human Rights Centre
• Contribution from Les Allamby, Member of LSNI’s Human Rights and Equality Committee
• Chaired by Lorraine Keown, Chair of the LSNI’s Human Rights and Equality Committee
