The annual Sports Law Conference is now an established and anticipated part of the Law Society’s CPD Programme. We have had many high profile and expert presenters over the years offering practitioners a unique opportunity to hear from leaders in the sporting field – and the 2026 Conference will continue in this vein.
Year on year many of our key contributors have joined us without fail, as either an attendee or guest presenter and we are grateful to our ever-growing attendee base. We will celebrate another year in sport with our Conference Partner the NI Sports Forum - the recognised umbrella organisation for the voluntary sector of sport in Northern Ireland.
The conference will cover the following areas:
- Sport in Transition: Law, Welfare and Integrity in 2026 and Beyond
- Athlete Welfare & Rights
- Safeguarding Sport: The Evolving Legal Landscape of Athlete Welfare
- Putting Athletes First: Legal Frameworks for Safe and Ethical Sport
- Global Sports Law Update
- Concussion – Protocols and developments in sport/Head Injuries and Duty of Care: where Science, welfare and liability collide
- The Rise in Online Safeguarding Risks and Impacts on Sport Safeguarding
