The Law Society of Northern Ireland’s Climate Justice Group will host a special panel discussion exploring how solicitors can play a meaningful role in advancing sustainability and climate justice within the legal profession.

This event will bring together leading voices from across Northern Ireland’s legal and environmental sectors, alongside a special international contribution from Professor Luis Franceschi, Assistant Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Nations.

Through a moderated discussion chaired by Simon Chambers, Chair of the Climate Justice Group, the panel will consider how environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues are shaping legal practice, and what this means for professional responsibility, client advice, and the pursuit of environmental justice.

Attendees will hear insights on:

  • The influence of climate and ESG issues on legal practice and firm management

  • The ethical and professional dimensions of sustainability

  • How solicitors can support environmental justice and responsible governance

The discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A.
