Next up in our Women’s Network blog series: Meet Naomi White, our Secretary!
Hello everyone! I’m Naomi White, and I’m honoured to currently serve as the Secretary of the Law Society Women’s Network – a community dedicated to empowering and uplifting women working across the legal sector.
In my day-to-day legal practice, I practice in clinical negligence and also family law. These are two areas that allow me to work closely with individuals and families during some of the most challenging moments in their lives.
Alongside my legal work, I’m also deeply passionate about women’s rights and creating space for underrepresented voices to be heard in the legal profession. My involvement with the Women’s Network is driven by this same passion – I truly believe in the power of women supporting women, and the impact of collective action to address the structural barriers many of us continue to face in law.
As Secretary, I work behind the scenes to help bring our events, initiatives, and conversations to life – from championing gender equality and promoting leadership opportunities, to exploring issues like flexible working, career progression, and mental wellbeing. It’s an exciting and rewarding role.
Alongside my role as Secretary, I am also the Women’s Network representative for the Dungannon Local Association, and I am looking forward to our upcoming event with Lynette Fay on Master the Art of Networking, taking place on Monday 21 July at 12:00 in Ranfurly House. To book your place, please register on the following link - https://lawsoc-ni.org/about-the-law-society/news-events/events/master-the-art-of-networking-womens-network
I’m also a keen user of social media as a tool for connection, visibility, and advocacy. I think it’s more important than ever for women in law to share our stories, celebrate our successes, and support one another publicly as well as privately.
If you’re passionate about gender equality, representation, and positive change in the legal sector, I’d love to connect and collaborate.
